A look back and ahead (2014 Review)

by Jason Bollinger on December 30th, 2014

Dear Links Family,

As we now look at 2014 in the rearview mirror, we have another year to celebrate, evaluate, give thanks for and use as motivation for launching into the opportunity a new year provides. 2014 has been a very significant year for Links USA!

In the past 12 months, we have taken trips to Nicaragua, the UK, and Uganda. We have served 8 different missionaries by managing their financial accounts and helping them get to the places God has called them to go. In various ways, our reach has extended to at least 12 different nations. Helping ordinary folks do the extraordinary work of missions is something that never gets old. Most of these relationships will continue in 2015, and there are more on the horizon.

This year, with The Abbey Church in Azle, we hosted Norman & Grace’s Golden Anniversary and farewell Gala. This was a beautiful time of recognizing God’s faithfulness to us over the years while also looking ahed to the future. The fundraising opportunity the Gala provided generated just under $10,000 for the work that we do. Joining together with friends and partners was an amazing experience, and we look forward to how we can work together in various ways to continue being messengers of Good News to the poor.

2014 has also been a huge time of transition for our family as we have decided to make ourselves available to lead the Links USA office on a full-time basis. This step of faith is one that the Lord has continued to confirm, and now we find ourselves making plans for more mission activity in 2015 than we have ever attempted before. We covet your prayers for provision and financial investment as we trust God to bring the necessary funds that allow this calling to be a reality.

2015 includes plans to expand our work in Uganda (and surrounding countries), to become more active in Nicaragua, to partner in India, to work into Colombia and Peru, and much more. We also would like to connect with more churches stateside. Our heart is to serve and equip the church to be the vessel of mission that God has called her to be.

As a part of the Links Family, you are a part of our team. We covet your prayers, your availability, your financial support, and your friendship. Together, we can continue to impact the nations as ambassadors for the Kingdom of God. Together we can work together on projects and trips. Together we can watch the poor in the world overcome the harshness of poverty. Together we can make a bigger difference than we could ever make on our own. If you would like to be a part of one of our future trips, please let us know.

If you are considering a year-end contribution, we would be honored to put that money to work for the Kingdom. We would also ask that you consider a monthly gift to Links to build up the foundation that will allow us to continue to be ready to respond to the opportunities we receive to partner together on mission. Even small gifts of $10-$20 a month are incredibly helpful. Larger gifts of $100-$200 a month are even more of a blessing. One time gifts of any size allow us to invest in sustainable projects that serve the poor and aid in lifting many out of poverty.

As always, we would love to talk with you personally about the work that is before us. It’s an amazing time for our organization, and we are grateful for your continued support as a part of the Links family. If I can come and speak to your church, youth group, or small group, please let me know. Also, if you are looking for more emphasis on mission in your church this year, I can serve you by preaching or leading worship toward that end. You can reply to this e-mail to discuss how we might be able to work together. We would love to partner together to do the most Kingdom good moving forward!

Happy New Year to you and your family, and we pray God’s continued provision and blessing on you all for 2015!

For the Kingdom,

Jason Bollinger
